The data was reportedly sent to China Mobile Communications servers in Beijing, Tencent-run Proxima Beta in Hong Kong, as well as Microsoft Azure servers located in Mumbai, Moscow and the US. Battlegrounds Mobile India also reportedly pings a Tencent server located in Beijing while booting up the game.
Last year, the Indian government banned over 250 apps and websites under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act, 2000 due to geopolitical tensions between China and India. PUBG Mobile was one of the banned games at that time and now, it has been relaunched as Battlegrounds Mobile India.
