At present, the Centre has not responded to their request. Dmrc has said that preparations are on to restore the metro service. As soon as the order is received, he will run the Metro with the COVID protocol.

In view of corona infection, the metro service was shut down in Delhi from March 24. After growing rapidly at the beginning, the corona infection in Delhi is now showing a control. There are currently 11594 corona cases in Delhi. While 1 lakh 44 thousand people have recovered from the corona. So far, 4284 deaths have been caused by corona in Delhi.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has sought approval from the Central government to restore metro service as the situation improves in Delhi. He said metro trains can be introduced to enhance economic activity and facilitate the movement of people.

After the CM’s statement, DMRC also issued a statement saying that preparations are in full. Whenever the government orders to run the Metro, the train service will be restored. To avoid corona infections, people must strictly adhere to the COVID protocol in the metro.
