In February, Elon Musk’s Tesla became the first car company to accept bitcoin for its vehicles. Now according to a tweet from the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, this electric car company may soon start accepting Dogecoin for payments as well. On Tuesday, Musk posted a question to his followers on Twitter after calling Dogecoin a “hustle” on the comedy sketch show. The Tesla CEO has 54 million subscribers on this micro-blogging site and is constantly active with them. However, he has ruled out future adoption of bitcoin by Tesla.

Nowadays his favorite topic remains Dogecoin. The cryptocurrency currently holds a market capitalization of $60 billion (approximately Rs 4,40,400 crore). This billionaire also called himself the Dogefather in the past. On Tuesday, he posted an important question – “Do you want Tesla to accept the Doge?”

In response, 3,775,223 people cast their vote there with an overwhelming majority. People said that Tesla should accept Doge as a payment mode. Of these, 78 percent said they should accept Dogecoin while 22 percent voted against it. At the same time, some people got excited and responded to Musk’s tweet.

“DOGE is now going to shine outside this galaxy too”, wrote one user @davidgokhshtein.

The rest simply said that should be accepted. Even at the time of writing the news, its results were getting positive in large numbers.

SpaceX CEO Musk said on Saturday Night Live (SNL) about the virtual currency that it is a hoax. After his comment, this cryptocurrency lost a third of its value on Sunday. But still many people stuck to this cryptocurrency.

At the same time, some people continued to be skeptical of Tesla and CryptoKitties.

But the next day something happened again which no one expected. Musk tweeted, “SpaceX will send its satellite Doge-1 to the moon next year. This mission will be paid for in Doge. The first crypto in space. The first meme in space. To the moon!!”

Earlier in the year the CEO of Tesla announced that our company will now accept bitcoin as an alternative payment mode.
