Du Plessis (Faf Du Plessis) had been going through bad form in cricket for some time now, with that he decide to retire from the longest format of cricket.
Du Plessis (Faf Du Plessis) made the announcement on Wednesday after a poor tour against Pakistan recently. South Africa were beaten 2-0 by Pakistan in the 2-match series.

Faf Du Plessis‘s form was not very good for some time now and the experienced batsman was failing miserably on all tours.
However, in South Africa‘s recently ended tour against Sri Lanka, Du Plessis had scored a brilliant century after he shut his critics’ mouths.

Tour against Australia postponed
South Africa were to face Australia in a 3 match Test series later this month, but Cricket Australia opted to postpone the tour at the last moment due to concerns of the Corona virus. The postponement of the tour gave Du Plessis a chance to end his Test career.
Du Plessis (Faf Du Plessis) has played 69 Test matches for South Africa. In the meantime, he has scored 4163 runs with the help of 10 centuries and 21 half-centuries.
His best Test score was 199 runs. Du Plessis has scored 5507 runs in 143 ODI matches. He has scored 12 centuries and 35 half-centuries in ODIs.
