Google has issued an update on Monday, saying that a new update has been given in ‘Google Search’ in India, which will give people information related to the COVID-19 vaccine and its registration. The US-based company is also testing the new feature in Google Maps. So that users in the country will also be able to get information related to Kovid such as hospital, bed and medical oxygen. The company also said that we are also helping NGOs like Give India, Charities Aid Foundation India, Goonj and United Way of Mumbai Rage Funds.

This update made in Google Search is very important in itself given the Corona situation which will help India to fight against COVID-19. When the user will query about the vaccine on Google search, it will also tell about the vaccine safety, its effect, side effects etc along with the registration. Google has also given a link to the government’s CoWIN portal here from where users can register for the vaccine.

Talking about the new update on the vaccine, the Prevention and Treatment tab has been given in Google search, which also gives information about its prevention, self care and treatment. This information has been taken from authorized medical sources and by the Ministry of Family Welfare and Health.

last year Google similarly gave an update to help users find nearby testing centers. Recently, Google encouraged COVID-19 vaccination in a doodle on the homepage.

Not only this, Google has also created a playlist on YouTube which gives reliable information about the vaccine, prevention of corona and expert opinion about the virus. This playlist can be seen through YouTube India channel.

The location of 23000 thousand vaccination centers has also been put on Google Search and Google Maps across the country. This information is also available with the Ministry of Family Welfare and Health in English and 8 other Indian languages. Till now Google was showing information of only 2500 testing centers in the country.

As Indians now keep searching for information about Kovid-19, for this Google is also testing a new feature using the Q&A function. This feature will share information about bed availability and medical oxygen in the respective location with the users. However, the company says that this information will be based only on the information given by the users and will need to be confirmed officially.

At the same time, Twitter has also started rolling out some such features that will help people in finding appropriate resources based on the information given by other users. There are also many groups in Facebook and WhatsApp that are helping people to find resources like hospitals, beds, plasma donors etc.

Google has also started showing some important rescue messages under ‘Get the Facts’ in the vaccine campaign. These messages appear in Google’s homepage, doodles and reminders across the company’s apps and services.
In addition, Google has said that we are running an donation campaign to raise funds for NGOs such as Give India, Charities Aid Foundation India, Goonj and United Way of Mumbai Rage Funds etc. The company has claimed that Rs 33 crore ($4.6 million) has been raised through this campaign so far.

Google Pay users have also been given a COVID Aid campaign so that people can donate there and help those NGOs that are working for the needy people.
“As India faces this tragic wave, we will continue to come forward to help selfless individuals and committed organizations,” the company said in a blog post.

The current wave of Corona has badly affected India. In this, 3,66,000 new cases and 3,754 deaths have been reported on Monday alone. Last week the government covid-19 vaccination campaign Taking the initiative forward, it was announced to give vaccine to people between the ages of 18 and 44. However, people are unable to book an appointment for the vaccine due to lack of stock.
