IND vs ENG: England gets shocked by opener Jack Groutle‘s two-Test exit, Still the team is confident. While India have beaten Australia abroad, England have defeated Sri Lanka at their home.

IND vs ENG: The first Test of the four-match Test series between India and England will be played in Chennai today.

But a few hours before the first Test, Team India has been shocked. Spin balls after Axar Patel has crashed out of the match following a knee injury.

In place of Axar Patel, spinners Shahbaz Nadeem and Rahul Chahar have now been given a chance. After the Test series, the two teams will play a 5 match T20I and 3 match ODI series.

After Axar Patel was injured, the BCCI said, “Axar Patel has been dropped from the first Paytm Test against England. The all-rounder had complained of pain in his left knee during Team India‘s optional training session yesterday.

He is currently being monitored by the medical team and is awaiting his detailed report. Patel (Axar Patel) will not be available for selection for the opening match.”

England opener Jack Groutle also quits Test match

The first Test of the series will be played in Chennai today. The second Test will be played at Chennai on February 13, the third Test at Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad and the fourth Test at Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 4.

While the Indian team will be on the field to maintain a record of 35 years of victory, England are going to have a full thrust to break the series.

Although England have been shocked at opener Jack Gryley‘s two-Test exit, the team is confident. England last won the M A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai in 1985.

Both teams are refreshingly elevated

The two teams are very high ahead of the Test match, as While India have beaten Australia abroad, England have defeated Sri Lanka at their home.

In the absence of several senior players including Virat Kohli, the Indian team won the historic Test series from Australia.
