Virat Kohli is just two wins away from MS Dhoni in terms of most wins in India. Dhoni had won India in 21 matches under his captaincy, while Kohli‘s captaincy has won India in 20 Tests so far.

Team India captain Virat Kohli will be eyeing a record-breaking record of former skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) in the upcoming Test series against England.

Virat can become India‘s highest Test-winning captain in his captaincy on home soil, currently named after Dhoni.

Virat is just two wins away from Dhoni

Dhoni has recorded the highest Test win in India under his captaincy. Under Dhoni‘s captaincy, Team India had won a total of 21 matches in India.

While Virat Kohli as a captain of Team India has won 20 Test matches in India so far. If Virat wins two Test matches in the Test series against England starting February 5, he will become the most successful captain on the Indian land.

Kohli will also compete with Dhoni in the highest number of matches in captaincy

Ms Dhoni also has a record of captaining India in the highest number of Matches in Test cricket. Dhoni had captained the Indian team 60 times in his career, winning 27 times by India.

On the other hand, Virat Kohli has captained India 56 times so far. Virat will also match Dhoni‘s record after the 4-match series against England. India have won 33 times under Virat‘s captaincy.

The last time England came to India was beaten badly by India under Virat’s Captaincy

The last time England came on the Indian tour in 2016, they suffered a 4-0 defeat in the five-match series. Virat Kohli was the captain of the team at that time.

Virat also batted incredibly in that series. Virat had scored a total of 655 runs in that series with an excellent average of 109. The first two matches of the four-match Test series will be played at Chennai.
