India‘s young all-rounder Washington Sundar, who has contributed to the recent series win against Australia, has once again shown a terrific show with the bat.
In the first Test against England, Sundar played an unbeaten 85-run stand in the first innings.
Praising the innings, former great batsman Sunil Gavaskar said sundar’s batting was a great choice.
’85 runs is not less than century’
Gavaskar said that Sundar‘s 85 runs came off the bat in difficult times, it is not less than a century. “I liked the way Sundar batted,” he said while interacting on the Star Network.
He played some fantastic shots. It was a good half-century and it should have been a century. Sundar‘s 85-run is not less than century.”

England had scored a big score of 578 runs in the first innings, in reply, India were bundled out for 337 in their first innings.
England were bowled out for 178 in the second innings. In reply, India were 39 for a wicket at the end of the 4th day.
