The 8th Core Commander-level 8th meeting is being held in Chushul today to ease the indo-China tension in Ladakh for the past 7 months. Meanwhile, India has issued a stern warning to China saying it will not tolerate any tampering with LAC. If China tries to make any presumptuousness, India will not hesitate to take any steps to protect its land.

China not to realise India’s response: General Rawat

“The tension over LAC continues to persist. The armies of the two countries are in constant dialogue to reduce tensions. We know the importance of defence diplomacy. So we have done military diplomacy better,” he said, adding that China has no idea of India’s response. If the Chinese Army (PLA) tried to do some kind of audacity in Ladakh, the Indian Army would not be back in teaching a befitting lesson.

‘No change on LAC approved’

General Rawat categorically stated that we are not allowed any change on LAC. The Chinese military will have to return to positions before April 5. Nothing less is acceptable to us. He said that we have a close watch on the situation. Their joint work is continuing to make the country’s armies lethal. His department is constantly moving towards creating the country’s first Martime Theatre Command and Air Defence Command.

‘Future social media will also have to fight war’

He said that in future, the country will have to fight a war on social media as well. It will be a psychological war in which another country will try to attack in a psychological manner. We are seeing some glimpses of this war these days. Our defence industry will be strong in the coming years, he added. This will not only strengthen the defence power of the country but also continue to receive the latest weapons to the armies.

‘Pakistan’s never-improving neighbour’

Addressing the webinar of the National Defence College, General Rawat said Pakistan is an epic centre of armed Islamic terrorism. In the last 30 years, the Pakistan Army and ISI have continued to spread terror in Jammu and Kashmir. He is a neighbor who can never be corrected.
