Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated by Mumbai Indians after defeat, says skipper Warner loses out for not being able to partner
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain David Warner said his team could not make partnerships and lost the match after being beaten by Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 17th IPL 2020 match played at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
After the match, Warner said, “Looking at the figures, his two experienced bowlers bowled well in the mid-overs. With a target of 209 runs, we thought we would take a run rate of 10 runs, but we couldn’t partner’.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar was injured in the previous match which did not play in the match. Warner made two changes to fast bowling.
On this, Warner said, “Two new players came to today’s match, Bhubaneswar is also injured. I had counted that about seven or eight fultoss balls were bowled in the last over. We’re lagging behind in implementing the strategy’.
Mumbai Indians were 208 for 5 in 20 overs when they were batting first. Hyderabad got off to a good start in the competition. Skipper David Warner scored an emphatic 60 runs but failed to win the team and Hyderabad could only score 174 runs in 20 overs. With this, Hyderabad has lost its third defeat this season.
