Mumbai Indians defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 34 runs: Rohit hails bowlers after victory
Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Rohit Sharma has praised his bowlers after defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 13th season match of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2020). In the 17th IPL match, Mumbai Indians beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 34 runs at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium to finish top of the mark table.
“The wicket looked good, but it was a bit slow and so it was a great effort to reach 200 runs,” Rohit said after the match. There was no target in our minds. We support what our bowlers do. I definitely missed the scoring. But whenever you get a chance, try to give your best again’.
“The batsmen put up a satisfactory score on the board. Krunal performed best today. You descend with bowling tactics. This strategy never comes to work. But you always have to bowl right. I don’t try to impose my strategy on them. I want them to tell me their strategy and I set the field accordingly’.
Mumbai won the toss and elected to bat first at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, scoring 208 for 5. In reply, Hyderabad were 174 for 7 and Mumbai were the first to take on them.
