A mini-auction is scheduled to take place on February 18 ahead of the Indian Premier League 2021 (IPL 2021).

This year, BCCI has selected 292 players for the IPL auction. This year, 1114 players had registered for the auction.

Indian player S Sreesanth, who was left in the IPL 2013 for spot-fixing, has not been selected by the BCCI on the auction list.

Sreesanth has shared his reaction on social media through a song about not being selected in the auction.

Sreesanth has shared a reaction video on social media after he was not selected for the IPL 2021 auction.

In this video, he is seen sitting in the car singing a song. The song is Shah Rukh Khan’s film Swadesh “Yun hi Chala Chal Rahi”.

In the caption of the video, Sreesanth wrote “God’s plan, cricket, family, love.”

Banned since 7 years

S Sreesanth was found guilty of spot-fixing during Indian Premier League (IPL) 2013 after he was banned for life.

Though the Kerala High Court scrapped that ban and Sreesanth returned to domestic cricket after suffering a 7-year-long ban in 2020. Sreesanth had also registered for IPL, but BCCI did not shortlist him for auction.

Sreesanth returned to cricket through Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy

S Sreesanth, who suffered a seven-year ban due to spot-fixing, recently returned to cricket through the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.

Sreesanth (S Sreesanth) had a place in the Kerala squad for the tournament. Sreesanth was expected to make a comeback in IPL through domestic cricket, after which he thought he would be able to be a part of the squad in the World Cup 2023 in India. However, the BCCI watered down on his expectation.
