The Maharashtra government on Saturday filed its reply in the Supreme Court on Rhea Chakraborty’s plea in the actor Sushant Singh Rajput death case. The Maharashtra government opposed the CBI probe in the Supreme Court. The Maharashtra government filed a progress report on the probe in a sealed envelope in the Supreme Court. The Maharashtra government levelled allegations against the Bihar government and said the Bihar government acted against the rules in the matter.
Apart from the Maharashtra government, Sushant’s father KK Singh has also filed his reply in the Supreme Court. In his reply, Sushant’s father alleged that Rhea was influencing witnesses. He said the petition filed by Rhea Chakraborty is ineffective as the CBI is now investigating the matter. He said that in his statements and videos, when Rhea himself has demanded a CBI probe into the Sushant case, why refrain from the CBI inquiry now? After hearing arguments from both sides, the Supreme Court has deferred it till further hearing.
