PM Narendra Modi addressed the nation on Sunday (January 31) through The First Mann Ki Baat of the New Year. In the 73rd edition of the event, PM Modi praised Team India for winning the Test series on Australian soil.

During Mann Ki Baat, PM Modi said, “This month, the cricket pitch also received very good news. Our cricket team, after the initial difficulties, made a spectacular comeback and won the series in Australia. Hard Work and Teamwork of our players are going to inspire you.”

Kohli was able to play only One Test Match
Virat Kohli was returned to India after the Adelaide Test due to the birth of his first child. Ajinkya Rahane then took over the captaincy and won team India 2-1 in the Test series. Most of the senior players were injured on the tour.
