Pink ball test to be played for 2nd time in India

The day-night Test between India and England at Motera will be the 3rd of the Indian Team and the 2nd day-night Test to be played in India.
Last year, kolkata‘s Eden Gardens played its 1st day-night test against Bangladesh in which the visiting team suffered a crushing defeat.
But the Indian Team‘s experience of playing in milky light with the pink ball in Adelaide, Australia, proved to be a nightmare and Virat’s Sena lost the match by piling up just 36 runs in the 2nd innings of the match.

Motera is the largest

Motera Stadium and Melbourne Cricket Stadium is the largest cricket stadium in the world. 90 thousand people can sit together to enjoy the match in Melbourne Cricket Stadium.
Motera Stadium has 76 corporate boxes, Olympic level swimming pool, indoor academy, four dressing rooms for athletes and food courts.
One lakh 10 thousand viewer’s capacity
Sardar Patel Motera Stadium will be the world’s largest cricket stadium. Located at Sabarmati in Ahmedabad, the stadium is equipped with modern sports facilities and will host the 1st day-night Test between India and England for the first time.

Today, Ishant Sharma will land on the same ground to play his 100th Test match and become the 2nd Indian fast bowler to achieve this feat after Kapil Dev.

While Sachin Tendulkar had completed his maiden double century in Test matches, Ravichandran Ashwin will try to join the club for 400 Test wickets for which he needs 6 wickets.

Eyes on fast bowlers
It is likely that India can change the strategy of spin 3 spinners in the squad for the 3rd Test. In the 1st 2 Tests played in Chennai, the Indian Team played 3 spinners.
Most of the wickets in the day-night Test played so far are shocks by fast bowlers. In India‘s 1st day-night Test, Ravindra Jadeja bowled 2 overs and Ravichandran Ashwin  just five overs against Bangladesh.
Victory must be for India
The Indian Team would like to avoid defeat by not taking any risk. Losing in any of the next two Tests can make it difficult for Team India‘s WTC final.
Motera‘s stadium is newly designed and the pitch here is completely new to the Indian Team (Team India). So far, the Indian Team (Team India) has played just 2 Test matches with the pink ball.
