In a nearly six-and-a-half-hour interrogation, the NCB tried to link Rhea’s connection to the drugs case, and also questioned her on the money trail in the entire case
Rhea Chakraborty was questioned for more than 6 hours on Sunday in an NCB probe into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. According to narcotics control bureau (NCB) officials, Rhea will be summoned for re-questioning on Monday.
On Sunday morning, Rhea Chakraborty went to her home and NCB officials issued similar releases and asked her to come to the NCB office for questioning. Rhea’s brother Shouvik Chakraborty was also questioned by the front.
In time, Rhea was out of the house for the NCB office amid heavy security. At about 12 a.m., Rhea Chakraborty arrived at the NCB office where her brother Shouvik Chakraborty was already present. Both of them were also confronted with face-to-face questioning.
In a nearly six-and-a-half-hour interrogation, the NCB tried to link Rhea’s connection to the drugs case and also questioned her on the money trail in the entire case. But after nearly six and a half hours of interrogation, he was released.
NCB officials have summoned him again for Monday. The NCB has until September 9 to secure the custody of Shouvik Chakraborty and is therefore trying to take the stand firmly in the court by removing all the information that can be extracted in the case at this time.
Meanwhile, actress Rhea Chakraborty’s father Inderjit Chakraborty released a statement on Saturday. He condemned the arrest of his 24-year-old son Shouvik Chakraborty (Showik Chakraborty) in an investigation into allegations of drug abuse following Sushant Rajput’s death.
Retired Lieutenant Colonel Inderjit Chakraborty said in the statement, “Congratulations India, you have arrested my son, I am sure the next number is of my daughter and I do not know who will be arrested thereafter. You have ruined a middle-class family. But of course, for justice. Everything is justified. Jai Hind. The CBI is questioning Rhea’s father these days.
