The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) is being conducted today (Sunday) at corona period. This test is conducted for admission of medical courses in the country.

Many state governments have made transport, etc., easier for the convenience of the examinees. The opposition parties were consistently attacking the government over the test. They demanded that coronavirus be postponed at the time of the crisis, but the Central Government did not listen to them. The state governments of several opposition parties also approached the Supreme Court demanding suspension of the examination but returned empty-handed. Several students and political parties have been in the apex court demanding postponement of NEET but the court has categorically refused to postpone it.

15.97 lakh students have registered for NEET, 10 big things

After conducting the jee main exam, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is going to conduct NEET Exam across the country today. According to the Education Ministry, a total of 15.97 lakh students have registered for NEET.

Jee exam was conducted online while NEET exam is being conducted through pen and paper. The NTA has extended the examination centres to conduct neet exams due to corona epidemic so that social dissing can be followed properly.

The NTA has increased the number of exam centres from 2,546 to 3,843. Now, in every room, only 12 children will sit instead of 24 children.

Students have been given different time to reach the exam centres. Candidates will also be given sanitizer and face masks in the exam centres.

In view of neet exam, several states have arranged transportation for candidates. Only the candidates and examinees will be allowed to go to the examination hall.

Anyone with corona symptoms will be taken to a nearby hospital and tested after recovering.

The admit card issued for NEET Exam 2020 has been given necessary corona protection instructions, candidates who have to follow.

Candidates appearing for neet exam will be allowed to bring only transparent water bottles in the exam hall on the day of examination i.e. Wearing masks and gloves will all be mandatory.

Checking and sanitization at exam centres may take longer due to corona crisis, so candidates have been advised to reach the exam centres at least 1 hour before the exam begins.

Last Wednesday, the Supreme Court had once again refused to hear any plea on neet exam. There was also a court battle over jee exam but examinations were conducted and the result has been declared.
