In fact, due to coronavirus infection across the country, railway employees have not yet received bonus, which has angered them. All India Railways Men’s Federation organizations have warned of a strike across the country. Discuss here that the Railway Employees’ Association had threatened a few days ago that the bonus given before the commencement of Durga Puja is not issued, the employees will lodge a protest against it.
Unnecessary delay in getting bonuses
Employees’ organizations say the Railway Board is unnecessarily delaying the grant of productivity bonuses to millions of employees. There were protests last Tuesday. The All India Railways Federation said that if the bonus is not issued immediately, it will be compelled to intensify the protests and take direct action.
Eight lakh employees affected
Eight lakh employees are affected by non-bonus. In the name of corona prevention, there has already been a ban on the increase in dearness allowance for one and a half years of employees. The workers will not receive the DA’s career before Deepawali this year.
Additional General Secretary of ECRKU DK Pandey and former Assistant General Secretary Santosh Tiwari said that railway employees are gearing up for the strike in full support of the AIRF’s call. Earlier on October 20, the bonus day was celebrated.
All India Railway Federation general secretary Shiv Gopal Mishra said, if the bonus is not declared before October 21, he will have to go on strike. This will be the first time since 1974 when the wheels of all trains will be a stop across the country.
Venu Nair, general secretary of the National Railway Trade Union (NRMU) of Central Railway, also said that if no proper decision on bonus is taken for railway employees by October 21, they will stop the movement of trains for two hours.
