To commemorate this historic occasion, BJP has planned a nationwide programme and invited sadhus, devotees and common people to four dhams, 12 Jyotirlingas and major temples, 87 temples in total. All these temples are established all over the country on the route taken by Shri Adi Shankaracharya during his visit. Prominent BJP leaders will be present in all the 87 temples on the way to Kedarnath of Shri Adi Shankaracharya.

After performing the puja, he will reach adi Shankaracharya’s mausoleum at 9.40 am to take stock of the construction work, where he will inaugurate the samadhi and unveil the statue of Adi Shankaracharya. Prime Minister Modi will address the nation around 9.50pm.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had visited Kedarnath on Wednesday to take stock of arrangements for the prime minister’s arrival. Meanwhile, he also held talks with pilgrim priests and panda community representatives demanding dissolution of the Devasthanam Board. Dhami said that all are ready to welcome the Prime Minister.
The chief minister said he had come to see the preparations before the prime minister’s arrival and all preparations are better. He said Prime Minister Modi has a special faith and faith in Baba Kedar and has a “vision” to develop Uttarakhand as the spiritual and cultural capital of the world where people from all over the world will come for spiritual peace.
Dhami said, “For the first time in modern history, kedarnath dham is being rebuilt on such a large scale. The first phase of work like construction of Saraswati Ghat and Astha Path has been completed while the second phase of work is underway. PM Modi’s programme will be telecast live and monasteries of Shivalaya, Jyotilinga and Shankaracharya across the country will be directly connected to Kedarnath during this period.’
