Earlier, addressing the Rajyotsava programme through video link at the Chief Minister’s residence in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, Congress leader Rahul said, the new agricultural laws are going to undermine farmers, labourers and the foundations of the country. I hope Prime Minister Modi will reconsider these new laws.
Rahul said, everyone is aware of the condition of the farmer in the country. There are reports of farmers ‘ suicides. In a way, the country has admitted that farmers commit suicide, but we do not have to accept. We should protect the farmers, the labourers, the small shopkeepers. They should stand together because farmers and labourers are the foundations of this country. If he is weak, then this foundation will weaken. If we protect them, then only the country will be strong.
