The Redmi G 2021 gaming laptop has been launched today on September 22 as an upgrade version of the Redmi G laptop that was launched last year. The new laptop comes in Intel and AMD variants, both featuring a 144Hz display and 16GB of RAM. Apart from this, 512 GB storage is present in this laptop. Talking about the difference between both the variants, the Intel variant of Redmi G 2021 is equipped with 11th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, while the AMD option comes with AMD Ryzen 7 processor. Both variants have Xiaomi’s Hurricane Cooling 3.0 heat dissipation system, which comes with two large fans.

Redmi G 2021 price, availability

The Intel Core i5 model of Redmi G 2021 is priced at CNY 5,699 (approximately Rs 64,900), while the AMD Ryzen 7 variant is priced at CNY 6,999 (approximately Rs 79,700). Intel variants can be purchased in China from Thursday 23 September. However, the sale of AMD option will start from September 28. At present, the company has not made any disclosure regarding the launch of Redmi G 2021 model in the global market.

The original Redmi G laptop was launched in August last year, with the base variant Intel Core i5-10200H CPU (60Hz display) priced at CNY 5,299 (approximately Rs 60,300).

Redmi G 2021 specifications

Redmi G 2021 comes with Windows 10 (upgradeable to Windows 11). It sports a 16.1-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate and TÜV Rheinland certification for low blue light. The Intel variant is powered by the 11th Gen Intel Core i5-11260H processor with Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 graphics. Coming to the AMD option, it is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 5800 processor with Nvidia GeForce 3060 graphics.

The Intel and AMD versions of Redmi G 2021 are equipped with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB storage. The laptop has Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and DTS:X Ultra 3D surround sound experience. Apart from this, it has USB Type-C port for charging, three-level backlit keyboard and Xiao AI digital assistant.

The Intel variant comes with a 180W power adapter and includes heat dissipation with two fans. However, the AMD model comes with a 230W power adapter and heat dissipation system with 12V dual fans, four air outlets and five all-copper heat pipes.
