Somvati Amavasya 2021: First and last Somavati Amavasya of the year today, worshipping this tree will add good fortune

According to the Hindu Panchang (Panchang), there is a amavasya date every month which has its own significance. But the day amavasya date falls on Monday is known as Somavati Amavasya (Somvati Amavasya).
The importance of worship, fasting, bathing and charity performed on this day is considered manifold. The first and last Somavati Amavasya date of 2021 is on April 12. There is no Somavati Amavasya throughout the year after that. The second royal bath (Second Shahi Snan in Haridwar Kumbh) will also take place at Haridwar Kumbh on the same day.
Importance of Somavati Amavasya
The worship of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati (Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati) on the day of Somavati Amavasya is considered particularly fruitful and fulfils all the wishes of the person. On this day, suhagin women fast for the long life of their husbands, while unmarried girls fast to get the desired bridegroom.
