Tamil Nadu will open state-run TASMAC liquor outlets from May 7
The shops will open from 10 am to 5 pm and strict precautions to be adopted on the shops that would come with keeping a 6 ft distance between customers and not more than 5 customers at a time.
New Delhi: The Tamil Nadu Authorities Stated on Monday (May 4, 2020) that the state-run TASMAC liquor shops can be opened in non-containment zones from May 7.
The government mentioned that the TASMAC liquor Stores are going to open because the neighbouring states Andhra and Karnataka have opened their liquor shops and Chennaites dwelling on the borders are crossing over to get alcohol.
The shops will open from 10 am to 5 pm and strict precautions to be adopted by the shops that would come with keeping a 6 ft distance between customers and not more than 5 customers will be allowed at a time.
Stores have also been suggested to position extra staff to scale back crowding.
The announcement tauntingly got here on a day when the state witnessed over 500 new COVID-19 confirmed instances largely being recorded within the capital metropolis, Chennai.
A lot of confirmed cases in the state has cascaded to 3,550 with 31 individuals succumbing to the virus.
