Even Sachin and Virat could not do such a deed
Tamim Iqbal has become the first batsman in the world to score the highest run in all three formats for his country.
This is a record that great batsman Sachin Tendulkar (Sachin Tendulkar) and the world’s most stunning batsman Virat Kohli (Virat Kohli) have not been able to achieve at present.
Tamim, playing his 61st Test match, has now scored 4414 runs in Test cricket, and has hit nine centuries and eight half-centuries so far.
Tamim has 7360 runs in 210 matches in ODI cricket. He has scored 1701 runs in 74 T20 Internationals.
Leaves Mushfiqur Rahim behind
Tamim Iqbal has left Mushfiqur Rahim behind in the highest Test runs from Bangladesh. Tamim has now scored 4414 runs, and is one run ahead of Mushfiqur, who scored 4413 runs.
He is also playing in this match and has not yet come to bat. If he scored 2 or more runs in the first innings, he will once again overtake Tamim.
The first of the two-match Test series between Bangladesh and West Indies is being played at the Zahoor Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong.
Bangladesh had won the toss and decided to bat first. The West Indies had sent an inexperienced team for the tour, as senior players of the team refused to go on the tour due to the corona virus.
