Xiaomi through its Weibo account declared It is reported that the earthquake reporting system included in MIUI has successfully provided 35 earthquake reports to Chinese users so far. The company has also shared a picture in the post, in which information about this availability has been given in Chinese language. The post says that this early warning system currently has a reach of 8,640,477 devices, including smartphones as well as TVs. The company chose National Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Day to share this achievement.
Gizmochina’s Report Xiaomi’s Early Earthquake System is said to have been active for more than 500 days, and as stated by the company, it has so far detected 35 earthquakes and sent successful warnings to users.
The post also states that the company will work with Disaster Mitigation Research Institute to further improve this system in the future. In addition, this system of natural disaster warning will be further refined in collaboration with the National Early Warning Release Center, National Emergency Broadcasting and China Earthquake Networks. At present it does not reach all over China. It may happen that in the coming time this system will spread all over China and after that gradually the company starts this system in those countries along with the institutions of other countries. However, at present the company has not shared any information regarding this.
