The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) announced this year to celebrate rakshabandhan festival as ‘Hindustani Rakhi’ across the country. This is set to cause a loss of Rs 4,000 crore to China.
The sisters are gearing up to hit Chinese trade through a defence formula that binds brothers on their wrists on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan amid a dispute over China. The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) announced this year to celebrate Raksha Bandhan festival as ‘Hindustani Rakhi’ across the country. This is set to cause a loss of Rs 4,000 crore to China. The General Secretary of the Confederation, Praveen Khandelwal has said that this year’s Rakhi has to be celebrated with indigenous adoption across the country.
Cait said that this time rakshabandhan will not be used for any goods related to Rakhi and Rakhi made in China. He will also send 5,000 rakhis for Indian troops stationed along the border. At the same time, the women wing will go there and tie Rakhi to the soldiers admitted to military hospitals in every city of the country. The policemen will also be tied up with indigenously built Rakhi Mahila Wing.
4,000 crore rupees trade on Rakhi from China
The Confederation claims that more than 40,000 merchant organisations and 70 million members are associated with it across the country. To boycott Chinese goods, the Confederation has launched a ‘Indian goods, our pride’ campaign across the country. The confederation said that an estimated Rs 6,000 crore worth of rakhis are traded every year. China alone has a stake of about Rs 4,000 crore. Sushil Kumar Jain, coordinator of the Confederation’s Delhi-NCR unit, said that on the occasion of Rakhi, the chinese rakhis in the country are lashed out.
