UP 2022 Assembly Election: Even before it merged, Rajparin Morcha was broken

The Bhim Army chief attended a meeting with Rajpar and Owaisi in September and the leaders pointed out the tie-up. Similarly, Akhilesh’s uncle Shivpal also attended several meetings with Rajpar and Owaisi and negotiated an alliance with them.

In the months leading up to the Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Bhagidari Sankalp Morcha, a coalition of smaller parties led by Suhaldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SPSP) leader Om Prakash Rajpar, is likely to break up.

Paradoxically, the disintegration of the Morcha began after Rajpur joined hands with the Samajwadi Party for the election.

While openly acknowledging that Azaduddin Owaisi was part of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) Bhagidari Sankalp Morcha, Rajpar Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav’s uncle Shivpal Yadav held talks with Bhim Army chief Chandrashek and AAP. Alliance of smaller parties.

In a sudden twist, last week, Rajpar announced that the SPSP would form an alliance with the Samajwadi Party even if it did not get a place to contest.

On Wednesday, Rajpar is scheduled to hold the Mahapanchayat in the Mau district, which will be attended by Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav.

However, AIMIM leaders said party leader Azad Owaisi was not invited to Maui on Wednesday. Azaduddin Owaisi Sahab is holding a public meeting in Muzaffarnagar on Wednesday. We have not received any invitation for the event, so our leader will not attend, ”said Shokhat Ali, head of AIMIM’s UP division.

Asked if his party would continue to be a part of the Rajpar-led Morcha, Ali said: “Rajpar Sahab went with Akhilesh Yadav ji, we are not. If Rajbar gets us a seat in the alliance with the Samajwadi Party, we will go. This is because of our struggle for power.

A senior AIMIM leader said the party would withdraw from the Morcha as it could not form an alliance with the party led by Akhilesh Yadav. “Our leader is speaking out against the Samajwadi Party (SP). Now, we cannot be part of the existing coalition of the Samajwadi Party. So often, we leave the front. Such arrangements can be broken at any time. The election is still a few months away, so nothing is certain, ”said an AIMIM senior leader.

However, SBSP general secretary Arvind, son of Om Prakash Rajpar, said AIMIM was never a part of BSM.

“AIMIM has never been a part of the Morcha. Negotiations were held with the party leader, as well as Shivpalji and Bhim Army leader Chandrasekhar. Negotiations were only held with them, but nothing was concluded. The other leaders who were members of the Morcha are still with us and they have been reassured before announcing the alliance with the SP, ”said Arvind.

Owaisi had said that AIMIM would join the Bhagidari Sankalp Morcha after a meeting with SPSP chief Rajpur in December. After the same meeting, Rajpar said, “Until yesterday, O.P. People said Rajbar is alone, what can he do? Now that the OICG has arrived, we will show our strength.

“We will contest the 2022 Uttar Pradesh elections together,” he said, referring to the Morcha.

SBSP contested as a BJP alliance in the 2017 state elections and Rajpar was appointed as a minister in the BJP government. Prior to the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he withdrew from the alliance as he could not reach an understanding with the BJP on constituency sharing.

Similarly, Azad Samaj Party leader Chandrasekhar also said he was not part of the Morcha.

“I have never been a part of it. Elections are far away. It is difficult to say what will happen in the coming months. SBSP has been with the BJP in the past and may join hands with them again. No one knows about them. We want to ensure an alliance against the BJP government in the state,” he said. We also welcome secular parties with the aim of defeating the BJP, ”Chandrasekhar said.

The Bhim Army chief attended a meeting with Rajpar and Owaisi in September and the leaders pointed out the tie-up. Similarly, Akhilesh’s uncle Shivpal also attended several meetings with Rajpar and Owaisi and negotiated an alliance with them.

Shivpal, the leader of the Prakash Samajwadi Party (PSP), has indicated on several occasions that he is ready to return to the Samajwadi Party, but has not received a positive response from the SP.

PSP spokesperson Deepak Mishra said an alliance under the banner of Bhagidari Sankalp Morcha by Shivpal has never been finalized. “Yes, the meetings took place, but nothing was finalized. We want to unite all the non-BJP parties and we will continue to try to do this. Neither the SP nor the SPSP told us about holding a public meeting in Maui on Wednesday, ”Misra said.
