The company has also veiled many of its specifications. Tata claims that the Tigor EV electric car can accelerate from 0 to 60 kmph in just 5.7 seconds. The booking of the car has also been started. The sale will start from August 31.

Till now, the Tigor EV was being made available only to government officials and fleet operators, but from August 31, this car will be available to all. Tata launched Tigor on Wednesday with presenting Only its booking was opened. If you are interested in buying it, then you can book the Tigor Electric Car from the company’s official website or at your nearest Tata Motors showroom. As of now, the price tag has not been revealed, but reports suggest that the electric version will be priced slightly higher than the non-electric version of the Tigor. For information, let us tell you that at present, the starting price of Tigor petrol model is Rs 5.65 lakh (ex-showroom).

Talking about the specifications like power, range etc., the new Tigor EV works on the Ziptron powertrain technology developed by the company. Tata Ziptron powered vehicles come with a high-voltage 300+ volt Permanent Magnetic Synchronous Electric Motor. Although the Nexon EV gets a larger 30.2 kWh capacity lithium-ion battery pack, but in the Tigor EV, the company has used a smaller 26 kWh capacity lithium-ion battery pack.

Tata Motors has not revealed its exact range, but it is clear that its range will be higher (213 km) than the rebadged Xpres-T electric car for fleet operators. Tata Motors has already stated that the Ziptron vehicles will have a minimum range of 250 kms. In such a situation, we can consider the range of Tigor EV above this.

The new Tata Tigor EV’s motor puts out 75 hp and 170 Nm of torque, which is less than the Nexon EV, yet it is higher than the Xpres-T (34 hp and 65 Nm). In addition, Ziptron technology will enable the Tigor EV to be charged from 0 to 80 percent in about an hour’s time. The Xpress-T takes almost twice as long for this. We will have to wait for a few days for all the specifications of the car and its price in India. It is expected that all these details will come to the fore with the launch of the car on 31st August.
